Christopher Dorner’s (Cop On Cop Killer) Manifesto (Disturbing Content and Language) "I am here to correct and calibrate your morale compasses to true north."
I wish someone would have shared with Chris that "true north" is only found in the nonaggression principle or "NAP." The NAP asserts that aggression which is not used in the immediate defense of oneself or other innocents - is inherently viewed to be illegitimate - regardless of ones station in life.
This means that the individual doing the shooting has to first be innocent (which Chris was, right up to the first murder), that the individual must be in immediate threat to life and limb (Chris wasn't, he was just pissed for being slandered and libeled), that the people he was shooting at were demonstrating the ability, opportunity, and intent to do his life and limb (again, they weren't) and that there are no precluding circumstances (which there are).
This principle is the only "true north" and any departing from it leaves men like Chris in a tight spot attempting to fix wrongs by heaping more wrong on top.
This doesn't mean that I (Silent Bob) can't empathize with Chris, I do. I don't think that any man should have to deal with what he has dealt with - but there comes a time when being shown the door is probably the best thing for a man who is obviously incapable of dealing with a bureaucratic system that is established specifically to violate the NAP against innocent people on a daily basis.
